The Magic Mountain – a name, a legend, a wine that satisfies all senses. It refers to the Mount Pangeon that rises impressively opposite the Château Νico Lazaridi Winery and relates to the worship of Dionysus, the treasure hunting by Alexander the Great and constitutes a crossroad for cultures between East and West for thousands of years.

The Magic Mountain red wine, produced from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, since its first release in 1990 and until today is an unsurpassed product, with divine, noble and mystic flavour, characteristics of NICO LAZARIDI superior wines.

The artwork “Balance” by Carita Schmidt, known for her inspiring and life-affirming art, embodies the idea that the universe is

The choice of “Balance” as the label for the Magic Mountain red wine symbolises the deep connection between art and winemaking,
two areas where balance and harmony are essential. Every sip of this exquisite wine reflects the care and precision with which it was
created – just like every brushstroke of Carita Schmidt’s artwork.

This painting as well as all the artworks that were featured at the MAGIC MOUNTAIN labels are on display at the art gallery of the same same at Château Νico Lazaridi Winery.

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Cabernet Franc 50%

VinificationTechniques: Classic red wine vinification with a long extraction, the proportion of the grape marcs/must increases in order to achieve a greater output in tannins. The wine ages for 18-20 months in new oak barrels and matures in the bottle additionally for 18 months in ideal cellar conditions.

Tasting Notes: Deep red color. In the nose, exuberant aromas of mature red and black fruits, violet, coffee and chocolate are harmoniously combined with the distinctive character of spices. On the palate, it has a full body with round tannins and well balanced with the acidity, having an aromatic richness and a long aftertaste

Aging: Will respond well to aging for up to 10-15 years after harvest.

Perfect Pairing: Served at 16-18˚C an ideal accompaniment for red meat dishes with intricate sauces, game birds and other game meat and ripe spicy cheese.
