Its name refers to a great, noble product. The Lion D’ Or family is produced at the Mackedon Winery at Platanotopos, Kavala. It is a single-variety wine with screw cap and “lively” appearance.
For the cultivation and vinification of the most popular version of Greek Chardonnay, the Lion D’ Or white wine, we chose the most famous and the very favorite variety in the world.

Vinification Techniques: The pre-fermentation extraction (skin contact) method is applied for 10-18 hours. Classic white wine fermentation at controlled temperatures 12-16°C

Tasting Notes: Pale yellow color. Intense and fresh fruity aromas reminiscent of banana, green apple and pear. Charming balanced body combined with the pleasant acidity and a fruity aftertaste.
Aging: Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
Perfect Pairing: Served at 8-10οC, an ideal accompaniment for colorful salads, seafood, risotto and Greek traditional pies.
